KULR’s SafeX™product line, including SafeCASE™ and SafeCASE™ SLEEVE, presents a comprehensive solution to the safe storage and transportation of lithium-ion batteries, regardless of state of charge or phase of lifecycle. The SafeCASE™ is an advanced storage solution designed to contain and mitigate total propagation thermal runaway events of any lithium-ion battery stored within the enclosure. At its core, SafeCASE relies on a combination of ablative shielding, high temperature thermal liners, and KULR’s patented Thermal Runaway ShieldTM (TRS) technology employs phase-change materials which are designed to mitigate thermal runaway heat through the boiling and vaporization process. In addition to these features, SafeCASE also employs a redundant thermal blanket to wrap the payload battery, custom ventilation ports, and buckles and straps.
SafeCASE™ is rated to handle batteries with capacities of up to 2.5 kWh for transportation applications and up to 3 kWh for stationary applications (Model R only). It is specifically engineered for a variety of critical applications. It provides a safe, eco-friendly solution for lithium-ion battery storage, plus secure transport of DDR (Damaged, Defective, Recalled) and EOL (End-of-Life) batteries for recycling.
